Students are given access to Xyting Insight in semester two of Grade 11. This assessment generates career options, but also provides an in depth profile of the student’s career strengths and needs, which are relevant regardless of the specific career chosen.

When the results are in, a meeting is set up with the student, and parents are welcome to attend (available meeting times are posted). We look at the results of the assessments done over the two year period and identify interest patterns. After some discussion, we do some preliminary planning, and the student is given a career research project. This gives the students the opportunity to process, and gain ownership of, their choices.
