All students take Career And Life Management in Grade 10. CALM is a required course for an Alberta High School Diploma.

A major component of the CALM curriculum is Career Exploration. Students are given an account with Career Cruising, an on-line career matching and exploration site. We engage in activities through this site throughtout the year, as well as other specific career asessments. Students continue to work on their Career Cruising Portfolio throughout high school, and can still access it after graduation.

We also do a variety of career investigation activities and examine a full range of post secondary options, including college programs, the trades, travel, volunteering, university, and “gap” year programs. Students begin a Career Portfolio and update it over the three year period.
